Biography
Theresita Perez is an experienced Family Law attorney based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Practicing exclusively family law for more than 14 years, she is currently an attorney at Family Law Group, Inc., where she represents clients throughout the Bay Area including San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin, Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Her practice includes family law matters in all stages of progress including but not limited to initial filings for divorce, legal separation, custody and support issues, property division, domestic violence, and negotiating agreements.
Ms. Perez’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Stanford University, CA and her Juris Doctor from DePaul University, IL. During law school she had the opportunity to clerk at the Chicago Office of Public Guardian – domestic relations division gaining her first experience in helping families through difficult custodial and support issues.
Ms. Perez is involved in the legal community as a member of the San Mateo and San Francisco bar associations. She volunteers at status conferences and review judgments helping the overtaxed judicial system. Proficient in Spanish Ms. Perez is invaluable to assisting self-represented clients through the San Mateo Status conferences to navigate their divorce or other family law related issues. Helping families get through their divorce and other types of family law related matters quickly and with the least attorney fees possible is her goal in every case.
